Poxy locking/alarm ??

I cant lock my car at the moment, it wont put the windows up and arm, sometimes it wont even let me out without pulling the rip cord. It flashes 4 times not the normal three, also the drivers door window does not make it all the way to the top, without assistance anyway, Any ideas?? Cheers Brum.

Hi,

If you have a spare magnet sitting around check the reed switch at the bottom of the doors.

With the door open, put a magnet on the end of the switch, if window goes up it would suggest reed switch needs adjusting out closer to magnet glued on main body work.

Does it work with the outdoor button? Is it just the indorr button not working?

Have you tried resetting the box. Lock the door with the blipper then unlock it (to shut the windows) then open the boot and pull all the plugs from the door & window control box. Make sure you note where they all go. Leave for approx 5 mins then plug them all in again.

If that doesn't work, then you need to check the connections inside the door for corrosion.

Tried the box thing, the doors seem to respond properly to the door buttons, but will not lock and arm, it is still beeping four times when i ask it to lock, instead of the usual three. I think one of the door/boot/ do they have a bonnet? switches is saying it is not shut properly. Anyone else?

There is no bonnet switch

Cheers sonny, problem solved, did the magnet thing showed the fault, adjusted it out a couple of threads and hey presto!

Glad that sorted it for you, i also forgot to mention if you attach a small piece of blue tack on the magnet if gives a good indication of how close to go with out actually hitting it.
