So, after all the BS on the Ferrari forum, when the Ferrari drivers were asked to join FightingTorque, seems their arguments may have been a little flawed. Some of their arguments were based around the fact that they like going round corners and not just in a straight line and that was why FT wasn't of interest to them. This doesn't hold water as I beat all but one of the Ferraris around the Lotus test track at Hethel in the last round of the TVR Speed Championship including beating a 355 by over two seconds!

But, here's the good bit, I wasn't the fastest TVR, (well not good for me but never mind), all the Ferraris were well and truly spanked by Steve Cox in his V8S, John Cucchi & Peter Watson in their Griffs and finally Simon Cole in his 350i. Simon was some 5 seconds faster than the leading Ferrari. biggrin

Well it made me smile, point made I think. yes

One saving grace, it was for charidy.

I never tire of the fact that the V8S was quicker in gear than the Tesarossa (and 911 turbo) in its day. Cox's V8S is now days sporting a 5ltr is it not, but still good to see its still spanking the more modern fezzas too biggrin.

smile Dad did pretty much the same at MIRA in a road biased cheap avo-shod Cerbera that he drove to the event, from it and then to work in the next day.

F430's are pretty quick though... beat us at the Speed trials. Oh and theres a well sprinted F355 challenge car too, but the likes of Oakley/Cole/Edwards usually beat it too...

Gorgeous cars, I'd love a Ferrari someday - but it'll be alongside the Cerb not replacing it.
