Hi - I just bought the beauty below
.
1996, 4.2, mechanicaly superb and recently painted in a stunning green/blue flip colour. Painted by the PO as demo for his paint shop - only 300 miles ago so not a mark on it anywhere. The interior leaves a little bit to be desired (largely because it was taken out for painting and chucked back in to sell!), but nothing that cant be fixed.

Now all I have to do is wait until Thursday to collect it!!!!

Great colour, suspect it looks fantastic in the flesh, interior sounds like a project
Have to update your profile with details, enjoy it and if it's your first tvr take care
In sunlight it looks absolutely breathtaking, the pictures dont really do it justice. They are just the ones form the advert, so when I get it home I will give it a good clay and polish treatment and take some that are better lit.

I have had a number of cars painted in the past and, hand on heart, this is the finest paint job I have ever seen.
The interior will take a bit of work. Its not terrible, just a bit tatty. I suspect from having been stored in a slightly damp place while the paint was done, and needs some bits refitting properly. Still it give me an opportunity to restore the inside to the same quality as the outside.
The headlining and door panels and bits around the 'helmet hole' are covered in a hessian type material - it looks so iffy, I am not convinced it is original. Can you tell me what your headling etc is like?
It's my first TVR, and although I am no stranger to powerful rwd cars, it demands a good deal more respect than anything else I have ever had. There seems to be an enraged howling, snarling, spitting creature trapped somewhere in the engine compartment that wants OUT! OMG What a noise

Thanks - I can't wait to get it home!!!!
I really dont like the hessian, so am thinking along the lines of a traditional foam backed headlining (in a suitable colour) and a darker green contrasting leather for the door panels and bits roung the helmet hole. Carpets will probably need replacing, but I have an industrial sewing machine which is great for binding things like that.

You wont be able to do the headlining unless you pull out the rear screen. The headlining is bonded to the glass.I really dont like the hessian, so am thinking along the lines of a traditional foam backed headlining (in a suitable colour) and a darker green contrasting leather for the door panels and bits roung the helmet hole. Dont know where abouts in London you are,but you can try these people Cass Brothers 0208 462 2387 located on the Bromley/Farnborough border.Take the bits to them, and they can do the work required at a reasonable price as well.I've used them a bit for work on mine.
I live just down the road from them and have used them quite a bit when I was refurbishing my XJR-s. Do I take it that you are local? The headlining sounds a bit of a pain to do! Oh well - nevermind, it is going to have to be done one way or another. Do you happen to know if the rear screen is bonded in or a chanel fit?
