I popped along to the Griff Growl at the weekend and they had several of the aftermarket/parts suppliers there.

Whilst buying soem more water wetter, I took the opportunity to speak to Leven about the shortness of the washer tubing on their wiper upgrade for the Cerebra and apparently I'm the only person to ever have mentioned this?

Am I the only one to have discovered this, or just the only person to have bothered to mail them about the problem?

I have it on my car, agree, good bit of kit. The shortness of pipe has been discussed on here before, but I didnt have any problems with the length of my 'pipework' hehe

Leven are bulls***ng if they say no one has contacted them about this problem before !!
When I bought the Wiper upgrade kit, I rang them up to tell them that one of the tubes was too short - and it was in a friendly way, purely in the interests of customer service etc etc - they told me I must have followed the instructions wrong !! A few months later I actually went to Leven's to get my clutch sorted, and I made a point of telling them about the tube being too short, and showed them the additional bit of tubing that I had had to fit, but they didn;t seem to take much notice. Great bit of kit, but it seems Leven are too lazy and complacent to listen to useful feedback from Customers.

much too short...

Been mentioned on here by loads of people.

Also the washer bit always falls off eventually, due to it being superglued on - most of us have then invested in some ARALDITE.

As for talking to suppliers - Steve Heath has put together packs of Fuses that light up when they blow. These looked a great idea

Steve's stand at Griff Growl had these demonstrated. He liked them so much but thought them expensive so went off to the manufacturers and bought them direct. He then sells them as a complete pack.

I thought these were a great idea.

That's funny, when I bought a set a few months ago, I rang them and told Jules the same thing.

She said "Oh - no-one's said that before! I'll mention it to the lads."

I joined mine into the existing pipes using 1" long bits of the old squirter tubes as joiners.

We have sold lots and fitted quite a few sets in the workshop and not had any problem with the length of the rubber pipe. Only a very few owners have mentioned the pipe length and we cannot be sure if this is a feature of their cars or how they have fited it. We do get phone calls for extra pipe and fittings but often the reason is not clear and we are happly to supply this as a gesture of goodwill.
If the pipe is too short how much longer does it need to be?

I fitted mine yesterday, instructions were fine and it was a simple enough job to do. The tee piece was under the drivers wiper making the passenger side pipe about 10 inches to short. Popped to Halfords today and picked up a joining piece and connected the new pipe to the old one.

It's obviously a typicat TVR thing then that none are the same. Checked mine today and the pipework finishes about in the middle of the car for the drivers side, making mine about 10-12" too short.
