Hi all,

Whilst browsing the tinternet at weekend I found the following product, wondered if anyone has tried this or similar products?

Interesting bit of kit, but as always, I'm never convinced by quick fix options, but certainly the theory behind it looks good.

They've been rubbished several times. The airflow through them just isn't sufficient, or the big beefy ones needs an additional battery somewhere for still barely sufficient airflow.

I remember someone somewhere doing a comparison of airflows for superchargers & these on a mini. Can't find it at the moment...

Trialed one for the e-RAM company.

Useless, actually cost power.

Even supplied the first one wired back to front so one fan blew and one fan sucked.

Don't bother.

I remember looking at this for my degree a few years back - as I recall we really need 48v electrics before we can chuck enough juice at an electric s'charger.

With 48v we're then in the world of electrically operated valves - yum!

Figured as much and not that cheap for x2 of them.

Best save the pennies and get a real supercharger, surely someone will come up with an affordable aftermarket kit

Assuming 100% VE then you have 4.5 litres of air going into your engine per revolution. That'll be 33,750 litres per minute then.

So any supercharger needs to exceed that to be of any use. The electrical requirements for such would be at welding torch currents at 12v and even 48v electrics would have to be beefy.

Those little fans wouldn't keep my PC cool.
