My airboxes are a bit tatty. Is is possible to have them sanded down and resprayed? If so are there any special techniques for carbon surfaces or do I just grab an orbital sander and can of laquer and get started?

Made to look like carbon then? I always thought they were because of the weave?

Think that's right - same as the "carbon" inside of Chimaera (and Griff) roof panels.

I painted mine earlier this year and they look much better. Just rub them down with wet and dry paper, prime and paint.

They are indeed fibre glass although the pattern effect on the originals give the impression they are carbon fibre.
