How easy is it to tighten the belt up?
Mines started to slip a little.

Easy after you've got the difficult bit out of the way.

wavey Hi Mark - easy - if there are two of you. Dave fitted my new alternator (with my helpwink) and if I recall correctly, when it came to putting the belt back on it was a case of me holding the alternator in the required position, a long screwdriver wedged underneath and Dave tightening the nut.

Any help? smile

You have a 4.2 Nicky - you can get at the belt through the fuel rail without removing anything.

4.5 is a bit of a bastard.

Thanks Phill
I've not removed my intake pipes yet to look, but am I right in thinking that the fuel rail will need moving to gain access to the adjusters?

Nicky you can always make the tea and bring cakes. smile

Proabably possible with the fuel rail on but it won't be easy. At least you will only have to loosen the bolt and re-tighten, rather than take it out and drop in the V. Any clues what I did wink
