Before someone on here see's an advert for the car for sale I thought I'd let you all know!

Its getting a service and the stone chips done shortly and then will be for sale.

I'm thinking it would be a better idea to sell it with a standard set of seats in it and I'm keeping the NOS kit?

Reason being Im off to live in Dubai and was going to take the car but I've been hearing some real horror stories about cars catching fire and bits just melting and I don't want to take the risk of my baby getting knackered! I'm gutted to say the least!

Gutted to see you're selling . just make sure you vet the potential future owner carefully .. a car like that should only go to a proper petrolhead like yourself. Best of luck for the future too .. I trust you've been thinking of suitable cars for future tuning work? wink

Why not sell the car with Nos en all?? Surely you defeat the purpose if you just sell it with out the bits and bods?

Craig, only met you briefly a few years back at Pistonfest, but followed your cars development and your enjoyment of it throughout the years. I hope you have an amazing time in Dubai and that the Cerb goes to a likeminded owner. All the best with it!! smile

yikes I know summer this year was crap but Dubai, that's a little hotter hehe.
Even without NoS I hope your 4.7 beastie should find a suitable home, what about Alan buying it back, he always said it was the best TVR he's owned.

If anyones wandering what he's probably jumping into... think along the lines of Aston and Zonda.... Dubai for a few years, lots of dosh and a car budget that would put most millionaires to shame hehe sweeeeeeeet.

Yip thats the plan once Im settled in the new place in Dubai an Aston it is but a new Vanquish or slightly older DB9? I can't decide! I love the lines of the Vanquish but a little scared the value will drop sharply when the DBS comes out!

The Vanquish already been dropped. The Vantage aint special enough. DBS it has to be !!? Be prepared for stellar depreciation though. Ever tried selling a high value supercar privately.....?

yep weren't you buying a zonda convertible a year or so back? hehe

As for the aston, its a lot of money for a pretty bodyshape. Only been in one. Walking up to the car is a dream, but the dream fades somewhat after driving it.

I may have only tried the one car, but the handling is better on a cerb, the cerb seems a lot faster. The E39 BMW I drove to and from the testdrive felt quicker on the bends and straights let alone the Cerb, the engine out of a ten year old 850I BMW was smoother. And the interior of the ten year old BMW put the aston to shame.

The aston is a beatuiful car on the outside, but fatally flawed almost everywhere else. Its a shame as I really wanted one and has someone offered me one for what was a good price at the time.

I think you'll be dissapointed in almost every way apart from build quality and looks. frown But you can give up quite a lot for those looks.

Im with Julian on this one, they are slooooooow... compete against one that had a fair bit of work done to it (a Vanq S 520bhp with mods - claimed 580bhp) - it was a half second slower over a quarter mile... thats a big difference, especially as the surface would be in the Astons favour (more traction!)

I reckon you should take the Cerb out there, it'll probably be rarer than a Pagani in Dubai... smile

Yeah was definitely after a Zonda, should have just got it! put down 150k on deposit and the rest on finance. But the idea of the Phoenix came about, utterly regret the decision now! oh well.

I dont know what you two are on about, the Aston Vanquish S is a lovely car!
You dont buy an Aston to replace a bucket with an engine. Different worlds, cant compare.
Like those who left TVR for Porsche, different worlds again.
If one wants the best of buckets with engines, the Ultima is untouchable!
But then you lose the 007 cufflings biggrin
