The threads have snapped off the bonnet badge. Does anyone know how best to attack some new ones: adhesive, brazing etc?

I'd try "liquid metal" first.

What about using some double sided sticky pads, most normal car badges are stuck on this way so should work ok, the only way of attaching the thread back on would be brazing it on, but then you would need to repaint the black parts of the badge due to the heat involved.

If I'm in our workshop tomorrow I'll look up the exact details of the "liquid metal" stuff we have.

It's a two-part mix that sets rock-hard very quickly.

I've used it lots of times to fix broken odd-ball machine parts that were either no longer available or had a long lead time.

It's actually the same stuff that's used to glue the carborundum grit to rolling roads.

Surely someone on here near you will have some.

Always selling new ones on ebay - usually go for about £15 brand new...
