Don't bother; I too bought a brake light switch from Clevor Trevor (which came the next day - v.pleased with service) so I took the old one off ready to put the new one on the when it came.

Hmm, to say that this is the most complicated piece of electrical engineering... er, no. I opened the plastic casing with a precision tool (kitchen knife) bent the brass conectors by a mm or so, clipped back together, had brake lights back and a new switch from Clevor Trevor the next day.

I'm a cheque book owner, so any moron can do this (as I did), you may lose a bit of skin from your knuckles (like blood brother bonding with the car) but that's it - I had the right hump that mine was off the road for 48 hours for a 4 minute job.

If you're switch is completely knackered,(it won't be) email me and I'll mail you my new switch - if I can find it.

Who needs brake lights anyway, everyone's so far behind.
