My car has become all security conscious (or it doesn't like me) and taken to locking itself if I leave it unlocked for a period.
It's not arming the alarm. Entry procedure via keyfob is one press which results in 4 flashes followed by another press; one flash, alarm off and doors unlocked again.
Any ideas as to what might be causing this?

Maybe some interference from somewhere else that's causing it to lock??It's not arming the alarm. Entry procedure via keyfob is one press which results in 4 flashes followed by another press; one flash, alarm off and doors unlocked again.

I have a remote control repeater next to my plasma screen (as my AV kit lives in another room) and it used to stop our keyfobs from working - we had a Jag and a Toyota at the time. Took me ages to find it and I only managed that because it was happening to both cars (depending who was on the drive first) and only on some occassions when parked at home. So I knew it had to be some electronics that was interfering with it (I am an Electronics Engineer after all). When the Plasma was on and the program contained lots of low contrast scenes, the fob for the car parked closest to the house would not work!
