Tope fuel hose
Discussion
The top fuel hose that leads down from the injector rail to the cooling rail at the front, has a nut and ball type fixing and then a twisty collar leading into fuel hose which then pushes over a male fuel cooler connector. Anyone know where I can get a replacement one of these quickly, as my fuel hose has split and is spraying petrol all over the place.
Hope you understand my feeble description.

the hose is 1/4" hydraulic sae 100r 1t and the end fitting is a 1/4" bsp compact 90 deg female... not taken mine off yet so i don't know whats on the other end of the hose assembly.
i suggest if yer replacing this hose go for a stainless overbraid similar to goodridge type 200 or 400... goodridge gets a bit expensive and there are many oions available.
i do not recommend hyd type r1 as the nitrile liner is not best suited for unleaded fuel.
if anyone has a spare i could have a look and spec up with something a bit more suited.

Be careful on this one. Mine is damage and needs replacing. Tried good hose companies but they would not do a fuel line, only hydraulic. Also, watchout for the bore diameter because it needs to be the right size for the cooler spigot. Austec said they could do one for me.
Id seriously listen to Cooky on this one as he knows his stuff when it comes to hoses and hydraulic hoses as its his businessRolls Royce bring him in when they need help

Tim,
Nitrile will not actually break down overnight, it takes a long time, the problem is the additives used in unleaded fuel (the cleaning agents and so forth) they cause the liner to bloat and eventually as the molecules expand fuel will pass between and through the braid. look for signs of 'bubbling' on the outer cover near to the swaged end fitting, if there are bubbles or blisters then you should change the hose at once....even for a new hydraulic one.
From what I've seen the original hoses are not exactly of a premium quality. My air con hoses were a cheap eastern European import, as factory procedure was to buy in 'adequate' product. I have already changed my power steering hoses for stainless braided ones and the bleed hose on the clutch too (ideally this one needs to be lengthened by a couple of inches to access easier)
does anyone have any pics of where the fuel hose connects to/from?...I can't look at mine as the car is still away.
