Hi !

I am thinking of a upgrade on the suspension of my Cerb. There is an ad in SPRINT where you can buy GAZ NP shocks and springs for Cerberas, has anyone tried them on their car ? How do they perform ?
I am using my car mostly on roads but have an idea to use it on trackdays, maybe once or twice a year.

pepe, you have just opened up (maybe) a whole can of worms again !! smile
Some people will recomend Nitrons, others Protech, others Ohlins etc etc.
I have Gaz Gold on mine and I am very pleased with them. I wouldn't argue that Nitrons are better than Gaz, but so they should be, they cost twice as much, and you'd have to be an experienced driver, taking the car to it's limits to tell the difference.
It is all down to your Budget, but I would say that if yous Budget is around £500-600 then I would recomend the Gaz, they are excellent shocks, perform well are manufactured to a very high standard, and a lot of research has gone into getting them tuned for the Cerb. Buy them and you won't be dissapointed.
However if your budget is £1200 then go for Nitrons.

PS Jules willl be along soon, he can't resist these 'suspension' threads smile

I fitted the the GAZ nickel plated shocks and dampers to my car. After finally getting the set-up i wanted,i was quite impressed by the way they performed at Brands Hatch on Monday. There are a few on here with a similar set-up.

I have had Gaz Golds on mine for about 6 months now, highly recommend them for the price, i was looking at Nitrons but as the cars not going on a track every week i didnt think i would appreciate them. With the Gaz its makes it much more fun smile

I'm thinking of having a major suspension upgrade. When I took my car for laser alignment the garage said the sustension is non adjustable apart from toe. Is that correct as a I read another post saying a Cerbera had benefited from significant adjustments?

You can adjust the camber as well as the bolt holes for the top joint are slotted

If you are going to do track days get the best suspension you can afford. it makes a huge difference. for what its worth for track use i swear by nitrons and they are also comfortable for road use as well.

Ditto here, (if by GAZ nickel plated people are referring to the single adjustable as opposed to double adjustable shocks) then yes that's my set-up too and absolutely great, she can take Paddock Hill at considerable speed without bouncing or bottoming out so they get my vote!
