Does anyone know of any reason bnot to re-rout the HT leads on my 4.2 over the top of the rocker covers rather than round the back end. The existing leads had dropped so they were touching the exhaust on both sides and hadn't appreciated the heat! New Magnecors being delivered tomorow and at the price they are, I was thinking of routing them up and over instead to help preserve them.

I cable clipped mine to the water rail to stop them going anywhere near the exhausts. But round the back is still by far the best option.

Magnecor leads and new plugs - it feel like a different car!!! Just been for a there and back blat through the Blackwall tunnel to prove it biggrin

I popped the inlet manifold & fuel rail off for ease of access and to have a good clean up, which made it a doddle to get to everything. I ended up taking the leads round the back of the cam cover but on top of the water rail and droping the plug ends down between the water rail and the block. All sits nice and neat and I am well chuffed with how much difference it has made to general drivability.

The only wierd thing is the drivers window is much slower to go up than it was??!?
