Can't really get my head round this and really need someone to lead me up the garden path. frown

Does anyone have a circuit diagram of the coil packs or what car they're from so I can try and get a circuit diagram?

Trying to explain to someone the firing order taking into account the flat plane crank got me terribly confused, cos I can't make it work in my head.

Try getting german made ones (bosche?) as I had to change mine inside 1000 miles, apparently they last longer in the heat.

But which pairs are connected together in the coil packs and therefore whats the actualy firing order of cylinders on the engine?

Ah I see, I only know by banks on each bank the centre and outer two are connected together in wasted spark. So for the near side 1&4 2&3 are connected at the ECU end (single driver) and fire together. This is a useful snippet for diagnosing a duff pack/lead or ECU amp.
If you are looking for what the actual firing order is I'm not sure.

Editted to add when I say 1&4 2&3 I mean if it were a single 4 cylinder engine hehe so for the V8 that would be 1&7 3&5 hehe
