Hello,
Does the steering rack need to come out to replace the oil seal? If so, is it a straightforward job?

Have taken off the four connections onto the rack and replaced them with some PTFE tape around the threads, but I still end up with PAS fluid dripping!

I've got this job pending as well.

I keep putting it off.

The steering column and the rack have to be separated ..... and mine don't want to be parted easily. mad

I does look like it could be done with the rack in the car.

By the way, if you get around to the job before I do, will you add the number of the seal into the "equivalent parts" thread.

Unlikely you will have enough space, are you sure its the lip seal ?

Did mine but had to replace the pump block module attached to the rack

Not sure it is the seal, just assumed as the other joints have been 'sealed'.

What does the pump block module look like and where is it?

Thanks
