Help, whats the hand brake lever from, found the button missing this morning and pressing the rod inside is none to clever. Currently fitted with a Leven ally handle but need to get a plastic button to keep me going till I can replace it, surely freely available from the local scrappy? Checked the parts link already.

I wouldn't worry to much, most Cerb's handbrakes are useless on a slope of more than a couple of degrees.

I was as suprised as you would be when after a load of work being done at HHC and a new MOT the hand brake actually worked!
Still needs a new button now, I suppose if nothing was to be repaired the forum would be a very quiet place.

Do Leven not sell just the button on its own, or do you have to get it all?

They always do.

Shame it only lasts a couple of months, before reverting back to form smile

As far as I can remember the button is just like a minuture baked bean can with the lid off (if you know what I mean - or a thimble even smile) with a nylon insert that you just screw in to the lever, nothing that a rumage around the tool shed and a blob of araldite wont fix.

Mine has worked ever since it was adjusted by David Batty - so > 2 years now. It's possible to make them work, but you need to know how to adjust things properly. I don't, so if it ever does play up, I'll take it back to him. smile

Now not being able to drive that Cerbera for 6months is a crime itself.
Hope you gave the judge a nice
