Thinking of getting a set of Nitrons fitted to my 4.2 but not sure its worth the cost. Car is only used on the road at the moment but may do 1 or 2 track days a year at most, is it worth doing, will I get any noteable differance/enjoyment on the road

About 1k by the sounds of it, but you might want to
speak to Guglielmi Motorsport in Deventry based on an email I had today.

Talk to Joolz, he often comes to the Northants meetings and knows more than anybody else about Cerbera suspension upgrades and Nitrons. I find they give a much better comfort/handling compromise than ordinary cheap dampers. Whether it is worth the money is very subjective. I thought it was money well spent though.

I'm not the person best equiped to ask since I don't
yet even have my Cerbera , but having been taken for a spin
in a few, seemed like a very good ride with them fitted.

I have Nitron's although on a Tuscan & don't do many track days, but the improvement for road use only is worth it IMHO.They are also re-buildable so if you intend keeping the car for a number of years it’s well worth it. For the Tuscan it was also not a lot more expensive than the OE.

I have Nitrons on my 4.5 and they are superb. I have heavier springs as well yet the ride quality is better than standard. The Nitrons gently soak up bumps yet really control roll and pitch through the twisty stuff. They have spherical bearings instead of rubber suspension bushes which means a more precise response, and are excellently engineered. They are far superior dampers to Avos, which make a car on old standard springs rock hard. Got mine from Joolz of Joospeed.
