rofl OK I get the message... I've never joined a car club before, apart from the Mopar Muscle Asociation which was a bit different, taking TVR owners as a bit of an underworld I thought it might be different... obviously not...

Go for it and join. Its not much.

And another plus is if you go on a TVRCC driveout, you get to overtake all the coffin dodgers and scare the bejaysus out of them

I am member although I do sometimes question why, however as said it's not much and Sprint is sometimes worth a read, other than that I don't get much out of it.

Membership gets you preferential insurance rates with Mannings (incl track day cover). That alone is worth far more than the £40(?) for membership.

£30 a year direct debit - yes it's worth joining.

Twelve issues of TVRCC mag, discounts here and there and a few bargains.

What else can you get for £30...

And no I don't have a big beard.

So.....

At the risk of being stoned or mobbed...

1. What would you like the club to be?

2. How do we do it?

3. How do we change the image?

We need to know so we CAN move on.

Cheers in advance

It's fine as it is bar one thing...

I would stick my neck out and say that you neeed far more technical pieces on how to do certain things to certain cars. If someone can be bothered to send in a good question, then find someone who can give a good answer.

To be fair, I shouldn't knock it as I bought my car first Tiv from the ads in there. Plus I might renew my subscription, as I wouldn't mind advertising the current crop in it.

The other thing is, I haven't seen a copy of one recently, so aren't in a position to comment.

From the old one's I used to get, it's no worse / better than the MG one's that I also no longer bother with.

I suppose it's like anything on paper these days, it's old news by the time you get it, the internet has made the world a smaller/cheaper/more up to date place.... My local sports paper (Pink sports Argus) has stopped trading for the same reason.

I'm waiting for someone to come on here and say "have you seen this weeks Sprint, its got this / that etc etc & it's excellent".... But in four years, nobody said it, so I don't feel the need to get it.

That said, I'm a bit of a divot anyhoo, so don't give my opinion to much deliberation smile

You took the words right out of my mouth Fubar, I would say that was probably the biggest membership bonus and if your into Le Mans you can get camping tickets as I think they get an allocation of tickets each year.

Im a member but only on the basis that i get cheaper insurance through Mannings, which you need to be a member of the car club in order to get a discounted rate.Other than that the club doesnt serve a purpose for me.I find Sprint a boring read. Not enough technical articles or much on readers cars, improvements,or conversions.

I am a TVRCC member and am glad that I joined it. I would have missed out on some very good experiences, but that is down to the region that I am in. If you get problems with the car, post on here as there is a much quicker response than the tvrcc cerb forum. With the regional forums, most are well used but some are not used at all. Monthly mag is good but could do with more technical stuff, but I have heard that will be happening later this year or next. Access to Le Mans tickets, various discounts at dealers for parts and service. Some discounts are not worth having. But for £30 what have you got to loose, apart from half a tank of fuel....
