Got the new wheels today, I think they look the nuts! Kind of a cross between spiders and RL7's.

Very smart! What are they, and are there any benefits to them over the spiders?

Ultralite A-tec 789

They are the correct size and offset, 8J 35 front 9J 38 rear, so SHOULD be no issues with rubbing or loss of steering lock. Hopefully should be a bit stronger and maybe lighter than spiders too. I weighed them, and they are pretty much the same as the original 16".

Oh Yes, I like them!

Where are they from and what was the cost?

Do they do them in different colours or polished alloy?

Including 4 new tyres, the total was £1100. You can get them in various colours, including gun metal and bronze. I got them from the company that advertises on Ebay. If you want any more info, pm me.

Ahhhh, someone that knows the offset of 18" rims. Cheers!!

I also like your choice, possibly a bit too narrow in the spoke for me tho. Still, very nice!! They are on my list next to the MO's now.

Cheers

Must say they do look nice thumbup I looked at those exact rims, even started a thread on them hehe, but still haven't got around to getting any yet.
Any chance of the link to the company as £1100 all in is good, puts the stupid prices paid for chocolate spiders into context. What brand and size of tyres came with that, although I like the idea of sticking with 17", at least on the front myself?

Harry you could leave RL7's on the front for that "speed 12" look.. IIRC it spent most of its life with two different sets of wheels on. thumbup

Came with Falken 452 tyres (have 451's on the old wheels, very impressed). 225/35 front 255/35 rear.

Not that happy today, one of the tyres (which was flat when it arrived) has gone flat again, and is going back. If you want details of the company, pm me, as there is a bit of story to be told, and I can't honestly recommend them without letting you know!
