Pretty sure they will be the same dimensions but might come in at different weights - only say this cos I lifted up Fubars bonnet once and his (4.5) was a damn sight heavier than mine (4.2) and really stiff whereas mine is very floppy (fnnarr... let's get the giggling out the way now shall we hehe).

Out of interest, how bad is your damaged bonnet, I have been thinking about a bonnet mod and wouldn't mind trying it out on a spare rather than lunching mine. I am guessing quite bad or you would probably repair but if usable I might be interested if you were looking to sell it on.

ive had a 4.2 and a 4.5 but must say i havnt noticed any differnce lifting them up,they both seem'd a tad wobbly ;-)

my old bonnet is complete needs repairing to the n/s front hinge area with some crazing, and yes was going to flog it on .the idea was repair it later on and sell it.but i just want the car finnished now so i can drive it so a new bonnet would be quicker right now ,had the car 6months and not driven it yet.

Probably just a difference car to car then rather than model to model if that is the case. If/when you do want to sell the old one then drop me a line through my profile and I may well be interested.
