Very..... Seats look as you'd expect......brand new.

I'm guessing the mileage covered must have been taking it to be serviced.

Still needs running in doesn't it ?

Not sure whether i'd like such a low mileage. It'll have been stood for a while. These cars like to be run on a regular basis.

Nice, but tuscan style seats and old style headlights. Mines a 2000, and by that time they were already putting in the uprated light pods.

Unless he specified the older style light pods, I wonder why they are there in a 2001 car?

My thoughts exactly, and I wonder if that's the odometer reading or the trip meter?!

Its a speed six so it will have the old style lights for a 2001 I suppose. The cars close to me so I might take a look and as a car for concourse it has to be a winner.

I contacted seller about this (see previous posts on this car). Sold as genuine recorded mileage from new.

Personally I was put off by the length of time it has been standing... However, right price including cost of sorting the engine... could be a bargain.. However, I think someone will splash out on it though!

cheers

Is there a decimal point in the odometer readout or just in the trip one?

It does look lovely, though.

Is it worth that money???????

There's a decimal point on the trip & the odometer readings.

I'd value it around £18k.

That said, it depends what premium you want to pay for having the lowest mileage Cerb in the country.

My 450 lightweight took 7k miles - starting at 2k rev limit for 1k miles and then 1k revs increase for every 1k miles.

It's why you are best to avoid very low mileage examples regardless of age IMO.

If I was going to look at that car I would take a laptop and look and the stored graphs. 83 miles means a new owner did little more than put it in his garage. its an interesting way to use a cerb.

smile

Your the second person that's said 83 / 84 miles.

The advert says 843 miles, as does the title of the topic.

Why are people making their own mileages up for it ? smile

I don't think its that important its only done 38 miles, maybe the owner bought it as a collectible?

They were the instructions given by the dealer. Good job the Cerb has stacks of torque, otherwise it would of been painful. She was my pride and joy, so I kept to it. And boy, you could feel the difference whenever you reached a milestone and used the next 1k revs - so tight. You have to remember that these engines are not bench run-in like most modern cars. You have to use mineral based oil for the first 1k miles to help fine tolerance removal before you move over to fully synthetic oil. Mines up at 43k miles now and pulls as stong as ever.

I remember reading that Beckham traded his Cerb back in after just a few months of ownership. Guess he couldn't be bothered to run it in. It wouldn't of been much fun to drive with zero miles on the clock as large throttle movements would of resorted in mega-lumpiness. I remember those days well !
