The time is coming for some new rubbers for the car.
Shes running on Uniroyal RainSport at the moment -
225/35 ZR19 88w
265/30 ZR19 93w
Best price so far is 140 for the front and 150 for the rear (each)
Should I go for diffrent tyres or anyone know of a better price?

Those Uniroyals are just cheap tyres that came with the wheels. I know as I have them too! laugh

Ditch them and get some decent Toyos, Bridgestones or similar.

Toyo T1Rs get my vote (although I want to replace them with Toyo 888s when they've had it). Similar prices too. Try Mitcheldever near Winchester if you're reasonably local.

Thanks for all your feedback.
I see so far its F1's or the Toyos.
Looking at it the F1 are a few £ cheaper and getting the thumbs up.
Not one to skimp on price (though not over looking value for money)
I'm thinking F1's could be in my basket. Anyone gone from F1's to Toyo or Toyo's to F1?
Thanks again

I have just recently changed the tyres on the front from Bridgestone 225/35 ZR 18 to Toyo as it already had Toyo's on the rear (255/35 ZR 18).

However the front now look odd, as the tyre tread is slightly narrower than the wheel (18" spiders). I don't understand this as the Bridgestones of the same size looked fine. Having said that, it handles fine, but the wheels are now extremely vunerable as they have no protection from the tyre. Has anyone else noticed this or have I fitted the wrong size tyre?

The F1 topped the pile in Evo's test this month, admittedly the asymmetric but I doubt there's a massive difference between the two..

On the other hand, people really rate the Toyo as well.

Why not put one of each on, perhaps Toyo on the nearside and Eagles on the offside?

Is that wise?

Maybe even one in each corner. biglaugh If you're spoilt for choice.

1) Qualification: "..one of each [brand] on.."

2) I can't believe copilot thought I was serious, even for a split-second..

Could try www.blackcircles.com

Kumho fronts £113.79 inc. fitting, balancing and VAT

No Kumhos listed for the rear, might be worth a call
