Hi all. Have just bought a 1998 4.2 Cerbera. Was wondering if trickle charging over months with little use is wise as I can imagine getting into the car with a flat battery would be a bit of a pain.
Also noticed water in the driver footwell after washing. Any ideas on where the most likely place for this to be getting in is?
Noticed a few little things here and there but these aside have never spent so much time driving around with my windows open grinning like a lunaticbiggrin

Trickle charging: get an Accumate or a C-TEK

Water in footwell: 'amongst' the sources is the base of the A pillar.

Hi Ed FM

Accumate every time.

Also, this may be of help to you in finding your leak/leaks.

Good Luck
Simon.

Accumate gets my vote but you need to use the car. Like women, if you don't use them they give up or heal upsmile

Thanks for the advice Accumate it is then. As for my leak/leaks the checklist should give me something to do this weekend. Do you reckon if I can somehow get upside down in my footwell with the doors shut that when someone hoses the car I might see it coming in, and if so will I ever get out again?laugh

Accumate..... and wire it directly to your battery with the supplied weatherproof cable/connector. Essential IMO.
