car wont start
Discussion
Hi all, got my car delivered back from Greece on thursday after a month. I charged the battery and off i was. Second day i took it for a spin, after a few miles of driving, the revs dropped to 1000rpm got the batery and oil lights on and the car died. I tried to start it again, but it wouldnt. oil temp was fine, battery and alternator is fine, there is spark from the plugs and the fuel pump seems to be working, also the engine is turning over but wont start. Any ideas?
The symptoms seem to be suggesting an electrical problem. Engine cranking OK, Spark OK and fuel seems to suggest it's not total loss of battery power and no total failure in fuel or ignition systems though. This sounds like something that will need to be tracked down methodically and might end up taking a while to locate. Have a look at all the fuses and relays just for the sake of it, check all the leads under the bonnet are secure and so on. If you're handy with the spanners it's worth taking a plug out to make sure the fuel you smell is actually going through the engine. If no joy with any of that you will need to decide whether you're going to try to diagnose it yourself or get a TVR specialist to look at it. From the symptoms, it doesn't sound like anything obvious to me though.

no all the relays are in place unless it stopped working. the problem is i dont the wiring and fuse/relay diagram for the car
Take one of your purple hoses off at the thin end, crank the car and see if the injector is passing fuel...At least you'll know that the petrol is getting as far as the cylinders.
Is the big fuse in good condition?

thanks for this Marcus, i changed the big fuse on the roadside whilst driving through Italy. I think the fuse should be fine since im not getting any other electrical problems in the cabin. Can you please tell me where this hose is
You should have 8 purple air intake hoses - or shorter ones if you have an after market induction kit.Take the front hose off (the one nearest the rad) at the thin end (not the end going into the air box).
Crank the engine and see if the injector is passing fuel.
