"7 previous owners hence price"

confused

That seems a pointless statement to me.

It looks fabulous, I am sure it will be snapped up quickly, why does the seller seem less confident of selling than he should be?

I'm thinking of giving this guy a call and have a look.
Then after having it checked out, buying it and slap the chap silly!

In the mean time if anyone would wish to make an offer on my Cerbie,
feel free.......

How come you have suggested selling yours several times now when you have not had it long at all? Are you just after a change? confused

Well, I not jumping boat just yet and have it in mind that a jump to the 4.5 will be on the card.
Also I'm not skimping the pennies so the car is NOT being neglected.
So......why not?

Not sure that any jump from a 4.2 to a 4.5 is going to give you much more in the real world performance tbh, possibily less.
If you love the colour of yours, which I do btw, then rest in the knowledge there are only about 3 of them in the colour, 1 of which is a 4.5 owned by 'Nickcc' on here.

Yeah, your car is an amazing colour. I've shared a shuttle with it a couple of times over the years on the Le Mans run. I don't think there will be a huge difference in real world performance between a 4.2 and a 4.5, but I suppose I would say that wink

It's booked around £13k, providing it's HPI clear.

I wouldn't call it a bargain.

You never know what the car is really like until you get close to it. I've seen cars that have been advertised as being "in excellent condition" and when you see it it's a DOG!

OK, looks good in the photo's but that's because its a nice colour, has spiders and light conversion - may be really rough close up, past history not good or just needs money spending.

On the other hand it may be that the owner just wants to sell it quickly with minimal fuss!

Bargain wise, I like the look of the 03 plate 4.2 @ £20.5K

Hi BCA, I can never quite decide. We're off to Naples next year, and if I've got one of those two, I'd happily drive over in one of them.
Any other make of car, on my budget, and I wouldn't drive there, I'll get the plane.
I like the 4.5 for it's modern looks & colour, I prefer the 4.2 because it feels more "mine" in A quirky way, plus it's quicker smile

My main gripe, and the thing that would make me sell or part ex either, is if my patience could put up with the service I get.

Using the cars on a daily basis, means I find the various niggles a lot quicker, than somebody who uses it as a second car on A dry weekend basis.

It's a minimum 60 mile round trip to find somewhere that's got the various parts required, that I can trust(ish)to work on the car.

I'm not a rich person, and consequently, if I've spent £15k on a car, I want everything working right. And this is a constant challenge with the Cerb. A quick look through the receipts, show there's rarely six weeks before something breaks / stops working properly.

I go on that 60 mile trip, fart about with taxis & trains either way, pick the car up, and invariably there's something they've missed.

The running costs don't bother me, any Cerb owner will know that one year they "could" get hit for well over £12k in various repairs, and after four years of running it, I'm still not put off by that. The old one costs me £5k a year to run, and probably always will, and It's no hardship to me (small cheap house smile

If I had somewhere local, I could trust to keep it on the road, I'd be a happy bunny. But invariably I tend to find the repairers treat it like a weekend car, in a sort of "it's raining he wont need it back yet, lets make a start on someone elses car"

I think they've almost wore me down.
