Avo Shock and drop links
Discussion
Following on from the drop link thread where discussion moved on to dampers.
I have drop links and dampers - just wondered if anyone has this set up what settings do you have on the AVOs.
Always think mine is a little soft on the back, but would like to know what others do to set up - I think mine is based on midway setting.

Just a quick point.... when quoting clicks it is worth quoting the total number of clicks as these can vary even with the same manufacturer shock. You can probably guess the thing. 12 clicks on a 24 click shock is not the same as an a 32 click shock.
This has caught people out (myself included)!
On the Wedge shock kits I sell, I recommend counting the number from one end to the other, divinging by 2 and using that as the midpoint.

.........and sometimes you might have 22 clicks on one side and 23 on the other so its worth counting both sides and starting from the same point, best done from the fully hard setting too
(can't remember why though
something to do with seating the valve first and counting the clicks away from it
