The time has come to get myself one of these '4 Wheeled Grin Makers'!!!!
Seen a couple on here a 4.5 Halcyon hebredes and a Metallic paris blue with 7 owners.
Anyone know anything about either of these two?

Just a few questions from a tvr 1st timer.....

Wife doesn't want one that pops and bangs, so what causes this so i can keep her happy, well at least until i get the first garage bill!

How much does it cost to fit the tuscan lights to the front, and does any child seat fit or is it only recaro sport somethingorothers! Have two mini-me's(2 and 5yrs) so would like to take them out now and again .

And finally why do you all down south keep these cars to yourself, only seen 3 or 4 up here in Glasgow and they've all been absolute stinkers .That is apart from one in Alan Macdonald Cars in Dalkeith. Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrr But out of my price bracket.

Thanks in advance.

All the V8 Cerbs pop 'n Bang - it's the nature of the engine.
Tuscan lights? about £2k 'ish if I remember correctly
Not sure about the seats, I think a few people may have fitted seats other than the Recaro start.
Why do we keep them all down here? it's because you lot run our country, so it's our token way of rebelling smile
And you need an understanding wife to own a Cerb - so be nice to her!

Mine still popped and banged when I had that - it's the engine that causes the pops 'n bangs not the exhaust.

well yes but a standard exhaust still makes it much more civilized to the ears

Pops and bangs are caused by poor mapping. Quite a few have either had a remap on the original ECU or an Emerald ECU replacing the original (with a bespoke map). Mine only really "mutters" a little if you come off the gas after a high speed run and let it overrun a while.

They only pop 'n bang on the overun anyway, or maybe I'd better take mine back to Jools and complain that he's mapped it wrong smile

Cheers Dave.

I've started to write the cheques straight out of my company account and declare them as dividends. That way she sees nothing in our bank account/credit card statements.

Having said that, she said to me today.... "so you haven't said anything about your car and the suspension you had done last week. So I'm guessing you don't want to tell me how much it cost, although I can imagine. Thought I'd forget about it eh. I'm off to M&S...."

They get you one way or the other!
