Quite fancy a cerb, but keep hearing stories about niggles and unrelaibility. Whats the real world view? I probably will do less than 8k miles per year but would want to plan eurohoon trips or similar. Just how unrelaible are they? Looking at a possible 2000 - 2002 car

Thanks

GG

Do your homework...look for a car thats had lots of TLC and essential mods, ask questions, and go in with your eyes wide open! Some really good cars out there and some proper lemons yes

wanted one forever...

eventually bought one 2.5yrs ago, knowing it could cost me a small fortune

done over 15000 miles, looked after it and its cost me very little

pure joy

i got a good one

go for the best you can afford but be mindful, excluding normal fuel servicing and tyres, it could cost you zip to keep it on the road or £000's

trust me owning and driving one of these things is more amazing than you can imagine!
