I have been told that you can have a cat d car removed from a cat d is this true if so how do you go about this, as i was told there is a form which is available

any help would be great

It is true, not sure how you go about it though.

Contact the DVLA would be my guess. I think that it would have to be inspected at some point though.

Some years ago it was possible with an autolign certificate, but no longer

I have a cat damaged car , that has been autolign inspected, it still makes mention of the prevoius insurance loss (on the HPI report) but also details who and when the inspection was done by - so the short answer is NO you can not get it removed from the HPI register
