Well picked it up today;( First impressions. Very nice, bags of torque and its f**king quick. But it lacks that raw edge feel you get with the Cerb.No race car feeling, and a feeling of a slight lack of involvement. Its very nice. But i wish i could keep the Cerb as well.rolleyes

Looks nice, lovin the wheels paperbag im not usually one for chrome but they look ace.

Give it some time to get under your skin, if it doesnt - theres plenty of mods available for them... just dont try to compare it to the Cerb, nothing does!! wink

I give you about a year before you're back... wink

Quick 0-60 etc time, what's it like around corners and hows the size for uk roads.

I believe they come with your car stereo preprogrammed with Rolf Harris Tie me kangaroo down. It's so you can play along by flexing the rear panel smile
(we got chased away at the motorshow for doing just this and singing along smile )

It holds the bends very well.I was quite impressed.A lot weightier than the Cerb, even though it is plastic as well. The rear(rolf harris) panel is a straight copy from the old Porsche 928.Its meant to deform and pop back out again in the event of any slight knocks.

One thing for sure. The wifes taken a shine to it already.Something she never done with the Cerb. But i think that was down to the weighty clutch and pillar box effect from inside the cabin.

Just got back from two weeks in Florida. There were hundreds of these around, seem to be a really popular car in the US.

My wife loved the Cerb, but would never go back now we have the Corvette and she
loves to drive it too, so watch out for your wife, it's turned mine into a right speed freak! hehe

Cuban - I hear the 06 has been delayed a little while?

The main issue I have with cars that attempt to fill the Cerbs void is that they all seem to lack the hooligan edge that the Cerb has.

I cant express how much fun it is to bring the sound of armageddon to the masses or occaisionally giving it a bit too much throttle and leaving elevens that most of the top drifters would approve of. hehe

Nothing scares like a Cerb can.. evil

Hi BCA

Good to hear from you, hope all is well with you and your Dad?

Indeed I have put the Z06 on hold, but I HAVE just bought a new Corvette... wink

Just spent the last month in California running a Corvette trip and the new C6's
come very close to that "hooligan edge" while the Z06 of course is inmate material! evilhehe

We have the same problem with the Z4MC. I fill it up, go away for work for the week, and when I come back it's empty again.

BLUETHUNDER: you must have some faith to go for a second plastic-bodied car. The fibreglass was the think I most disliked about the Cerb, hence my decision to go steel-bodied this time around.

Faith in what - Safety?? If so your wrong. Fibreglass is a lot stronger than steel and has far superior energy absorption properties.

Going over to california myself anytime ( having just got back last month)
and going to rent a vette for the trip. Cuban did you rent a car while there and if so any pointers on the best deals?.
My best price yet is just under $4000 for the three weeks in a C6 convertible.

ps Cerbera might be going soon but thinking more along the lines of an Ultima

Sounds like your all having fun whatever you drive.

Ray

No, I just meant that I fancied a change from fibreglass. I don't really like fibreglass cars.

Hi Ray

Drop me a line via my profile and let me know where abouts in CA you will be
as I have contacts in different locations that could help.

A few people have already asked about California, so if anyone else wants
info or if this appeals to anyone else, have a look at these images, California Corvettes
from the tour which is running again in 2008 and with an ALMS Race VIP ticket option. smile

Wot you need is one of those engines tweaked for a bit more power, and put it in a Cerbera! smile
