wow that was a quick response! Now has anybody changed the clutch slave cylinder on an early cerb? With only the later type of cylinder available is it possible to machine the bell housing to allow the new type slave to operate the old style clutch, as the early clutch is more reliable Ive been led to beleive, or am I barking up the wrong tree and need to fit a new ct clutch/slave cylinder with a second hand later type bell housing? Mad mark, have you any experience of this please???????
You don't need to machine the bellhousing; You need to get some longer Allen-head bolts (65mm I think) to hold the clutch to the flywheel (which also needs to be replaced), then you chamfer the heads of the allen-bolts a little to they clear the inside of the bellhousing.
I.e. you make the bolt heads a little conical, to their diameter is less at the top than the bottom.
Now, back to my clutch problems!
Andy.

Hello Jes,
I would like to see some of the photos Alex took at Abingdon saturday, be good to show my son Chris. I told Chris what a techie Alex is, he'll be a real high flyer! Enjoy the mountain biking, there is great white water rafting to be had in the spring nearby (tho' you probably already know that):.)
