Seeing as it has been discussed by quite a few people on other threads, and it has been noticed that on one of them TC "sort of volunteered" to be mister organiser again. I thought I might start a new thread to see what interest there is for a Cerb trip to the ring next year.

As an engineer on the ferry you all took last year I was rather hoped you would do
it all again. Now the proud owner of a Cerb, I'm up for it date dependant.

Top Man!

It was quite an experience on the ferry, on the autobahns and on the 'ring. To say nothing of Nick's "illegal turn" in the service station...biggrin

Hello all wavey

My thoughts on the C2 at the mo are this:

  • Later in the year than '07 mainly for personal selfish reasons (i.e. am going on the Isle of Man trip late March, see here) and then probably Le Mans in June so thinking late summer hols time, early Sep might be ideal. Also might be chance of better weather (not a prob last year, but we may have got lucky methinks) this is pertinent also for point 2 below.
  • Option of a double header with Spa, having seen Phil racing at Spa when visiting the Spa6 last month, it is deffo on my hitlist as it just looked awesome. Hopefuly we can tie the 2 in together but that means it is going to depend on the Spa trackday dates which haven't been released as yet. Obviously as per last year, all aspects will be self booked for ease, so people can pick and choose any or all aspects.... basically Spa aint compulsory if you don't want to do it as it is quite expensive.
Obviously I don't want to dictate the event re dates, so if the consensus is people want to keep it in April, then that is fine by me but it may well rule me out as far as getting clearance goes.

Other than all that.... Rockets Roll

Whilst I thoroughly enjoyed blasting around with RAF roundels this year, we might do well to find a more sensitive decoration for the motors in 2008. I am quite certain this was a major cause for the "sound test, sir? Yes, I'll just stick the meter right up the exhaust. Sorry you can't go on..." issue! hehe
