Track Day Insurance

Thinking of a track day at some point. My insurer will not cover me. Does anybody do cover just for the day? If so, who please?

There's a company in Nottingham that do 'day' cover, i can't recall their name though, i'll try & do some digging.

I have just insured mine with Competition Car Insurance £600 fully comp with 4 track days included, bit of a bargin I thought.

I use them for sprinting track days etc. I buy "packs" of 10 days at a time. It costs me £95.00 each day and gives £10k cover although I pay the first £1k of any claim

Thanks for that. Spoke to them today. £190 for one day assuming car worth £18k? £170 for the day assuming car worth £16k? 10% of car value as excess!!
Not really sure what the car is worth!? 1998 R plate 4.5 Cerbera - very good condition - ftvrsh etc. Any ideas anyone?

Thought about changing insurers to one that does include track cover? Such as Mannings etc

Thanks for that. Might change next time, but fancy a day at Donington on 2/12/07. Policy not due til April.

as a tvrcc member, a mannings insurance covers me for trackdays (according to what they told me when they sold me the policy) they said it was also £1k excess should you have a trackday claim, my complete policy excess including trackdays for the year was less than £500 if i remember correctly

however, dont remember seeing details of the trackday cover when the paperwork arrived, so hope it wasnt an empty promise?! will check

Hagertys charge 10% of premium for 1days cover,excess is 10% of value of car.
