if I had a yellow cerb it would now be a trotter van.

more spins than the magic roundabout and a low cerb.

say no more............ now at TvR.

Unfortunately this seems to happen quite often at this time of year. If I remember rightly, I think 3 Cerbs were written off last winter in the space of a few weeks. Sorry to hear about it, hope you're ok.......

Sorry for not coming back to reply.

Nobody hurt but my pride and when after over two years of playing around and you just drive in a striaght line following Grass Widow and the next min your watching your arse go around for the second time it's not much fun.

The car needs every bit of metal there is that puts your wheel onto the car and helps it go up and down. Nitron in half, wishbones, drop links etc etc but no chassis damage or body work needed thank fnck.

Adam my lad was with me and after we stopped spinning as you do when you hit something he turned to me and said... You OK dad. Should have been me saying that to him, top bloke for a 12 year old. (Said that before Rich).

Anyhow its at TvR and the RAC will be footing the bill.

Gutted folks gutted.

Glad you're okay.

I also took an unscheduled detour a few weeks ago, so know how you feel.

Foolish question, I know, but did you say you were travelling in a straight line? I sometimes kid myself I'm a decent driver but in my heart of hearts I know I could improve. Any tips/insight as to what went wrong?

Gutted for you man, although i always think this could easily happen to me too as i've had some uncomfatable fidgeting in the wet with moderate acceleration and in a straight line.

Were you accelerating or decelerating? I presume it must have been wet too. At least you should have a nicely fettled car by next spring!

No Question is foolish if you don't know the answer.

Striaght line and following GW in her Freelander so no hard eccelaration there. It happened less a 100m from a T-Junction and if anybody knows where TvR are in Clitheroe it happened at the end of their road on the A59. It had to be oil on the road from the wagons that are always there???

wavey Hi Teresa - you must be very relieved, must have been v scary to see the event unfold in your rear view mirror, or even just stationary picture! yikes

Hope the car is back soon - after all, the 'swimming' Cerberas are quite rare! wink

Thanks for the feedback. This is one of my big concerns - that no matter how hard I try/good I get (wishful thinking) there is just that totally unpredicatble element. A colleague of mine went off TVR's for life when just about the same thing happened to him - accelerating in a straight line over a slight hill and then spun without warning into a tree...Food for thought.

Glad you're OK!

Sorry to hear that .. must be that time of year again..

I hear Fubar avoids this by leaving his car at Austec for the Autumn, then winter, then the spring and gets it back for a few weeks in the Summer..

It works I tell you hehe
