Indicator Beeper

For some reason the Indicator beeper has started to play up. It always sounds when I indicate right. However, when I indicate left it doesn't sound - but the indicator still flashes.
Problem is, for some reason all my warning lights went really dim a few months ago, and I cannot see whether I am indicating or not, so the beeper was helpful.
Does anyone know how I can fix both problems - that is the beeper, and the very dim dash warning lights? (The Rev counter and speedo are fine).

Little rheostat on top of PCB under instrument cover [2 wing nuts under dash to remove] turns volume up and down or off.
Same bleeper also comes on when you hit the red-light on the rev limit, but with so much else going on you hardly ever notice it.
Don't know why it would ba variable on left/right though, although mine started to warble a bit it if bleeped for too long, like indicating in a traffic.
