following on from this thread:

Got the car back from TCS with short induction and remap and its now making 417bhp. It’s really is like driving a different car can’t recommend this enough to anyone considering it! The engine is so smooth now that it makes driving the car much more pleasurable even when you’re not using the extra ponies. Just need some dry weather this weekend to have a little play thumbup

Heres a before and after:

So far, and to honest all I'm doing tuning wise:

Linked decats
Straight Through 2 1/4" system with 3" tails
Short induction kit
MBE remap

I'm very happy with the way the car drives so I've no plans to do anything else. Well not unless someone can tell me how to get 2.4bhp cheap so I can claim 420bhp??? smile

Nice figures - well done! smile

Couple of questions (apologies if they're dumb smile )

1. When you say MBE remap, do you mean that you're using the standard ECU and chip, remapped by Joolz, or something different?

2. Is your exhaust a custom job then? If so, where from and how much did you pay? Seen the pic (and evil flames biggrin) on the other thread. Do you have any other pics?

I'm looking for a new exhaust but want to keep my cats - SP back box is my first choice at the moment but want more options.

Cheers

Neal

1/ Yeah its a standard ECU remapped by Joolz.

2/ The exhaust is a combination of Linked-decats from Joolz into sports exhaust intermediary pipes with custom end sections and tails by a local exhaust fabricator. Basically from the linked De-cats its 2 1/4 " straight through. Sorry I dont have any other pics of the exhaust mate.

Nobody has a bad word to say about the SP exhaust system so you wont go far wrong with that system.

Its like night and day mate. Its so much smoother! For the first 10-20 miles I kept trying to drive around the lumpyness at 2000rpm until i realised it wasnt there anymore smile In some gears it feels slower, I'm sure its not actually slower, just the smoothness makes it very deceptive.

It would probably be best to speak to Joolz. I dont think its a fixed price, think it depends on how long it takes, problems encountered so I wouldnt want to post it on a forum. Its very reasonable though considering the amount of R&D that he's put into it, the amount of time it takes and the improvements you'll get. I'm getting far better fuel economy too so thats got to be taken into account. 135 miles from just over 1/4 of a tank...

Got to agree on the delivery smoothness of the mapped cars. Its only when you look down at the speedo and note it going around like a rev counter do you realise how much quicker they are thumbup
