Hoping to get into a 450 LWT soon. Chances are that the car will be a late model (02-04) and that it will be standard factory spec. What are the must do mods that you would have done in terms of engine (I've read about the short induction and remap ecu work at TCS - which looks very interesting), exhaust and also suspension (Nitrons, etc)? I want to ensure that the car is at its peak in terms of performance, handing a drivability but not one that spits flames everywhere and is illegal for trackdays because it enits too much noise.

You have covered the must dos in your list - if you want a tack legal exhaust then either a standard back box or an SP system. If you dont want flames (are you serious?!?!?) then keep the cats in place.

Actually flames is OK with me smile Excessive noise wouldn't be - I've heard some Cerbs that sound like the last day in Valhalla. Roughly how much would one have to budget for this sort of work?

Anyone know what the differences are between a Red Rose and a non Red Rose?

Red Rose is meant to have more power that standard 4.5.
If you find one then great but it seems that a standard 4.5 remapped is the way to go.
If you spend your dosh then roughly:-

£1K for suspension
£1K for brakes
£1.5K for pipes and mapping
£1K for exhaust

But as per earlier threads I would recommend NOT doing the changes until you have got the car bedded in, niggles fixed and mastered the current power.

Agree with the above entirely - run the car for a bit, get used to how it performs in all conditions, and sort the niggles out, e.g. don't want to pay a for a shiny new exhaust if your current clutch has done £25k miles smile

Hi Wayne

Here's a list of what TVR Power do to a standard 4.5 to turn it into a 4.5 RR.
