Hi all, wondering whether anyone can help.

I am getting a horrible knocking noise when i turn left with the steering at full or almost full lock, this also happens sometimes when i am accelerating on a very bumpy road, or hit a pothole.

I was told it may be the diff but i think its coming from the front. Any ideas?

Don't know if my problem is relevant but I did have a rubbing/knocking noise on heavy left-hand cornering.
Turned out to be a right-hand exhaust bracket that had broken.
(But it took three dealers/indies to find it)
Good Luck !thumbup

Check UV Joints, oil levels, nothing loose etc.. Does the steering feel stiff? If it does could be the woodruff key.

If the centre pops out of the drop links they rattle like a B@stard!! I had one of the rear ones do this to me and it was sooo loud it was scary to drive, because it sounded like something was about to drop off! It actually isnt unsafe once you know its that. You can get replacement ones for around a tenner each from a decent bearing stockists. That was the expensive European ones as opposed to the far East option.

I had a very similar thing happen in my Cerb a few times. Felt like something metal sliding on left hand corners then 'clonking' against the steering.

Problem hasnt reappeared since I had my suspension replaced. Im no expert, but could it be some sort of brace/anti roll bar loose at one end? (maybe even a loose tool..spanner etc, sliding around in there somewhere?)
