What about a sandwich plate at the oil filter?

Got to be the easiest way.

This is what you need: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3-4-unf-Sandwich-Plate-Oil-T...

Rover V8 is 3/4 unf thread.

Wow! That’s a thread resurrection and a half!!

We use a take off from the V of the engine where the old pressure switch used to be. We then also have one on the return oil filter housing after the cooler.

The Mocal has 5/8UNF thread for the temp sender

However it looks like there is also a 5/8UNF sender available for the Smiths gauge

TT3005-58U instead of the TT3005-8N suggested
