Article says: "Bonnet stop (mounted on scuttle panel)"

The scuttle is the bit beneath the windscreen. I'm presuming this is a rubber 'mushroom' that you push into a hole, leaving a round rubber bit for the bonnet to rest on.

Mud?

I'll have to go and look at the car to be certain but I don't think I've got one of those on mine.

How about the rest of you?

Was this a standard part?

(Maybe that's why my bonnet rattles so much).

I don't have any rest "mushrooms" either. Could this be the grommet that the bonnet pins lock in to?

yup, this is definitely the 2 rubber mushroomy bung things that sit on the scuttle panel and the bonnet rests on. I've recently bought two of these and put them on mine as they were missing. Just a point of note, put a dab of superglue on them, otherwise they just pop off when you are driving and you have lost them again!

I don't have any of these fitted but I don't have any rattles. However, do they help stop the bonnet flexing at speed a bit, if so I could do with a set. Perhaps 5 minutes in scrappy looking at various bonnet stops/bumpers may produce a suitable set confused.

So that is what they are called - i need one of those, as had to replace one of mine with a bit of insulating foam.

Mine just has a strip of padded velcro that the bonnet rests on, bonnet doesn't rattle so seems to do the trick.

Agreed re scrappie. Would not waste the price of a pint of beer on a rubber. Mine has two tap wasshers / rubbers glued to it. Right, off to the pub then to spend my savingsbeer
