I cant be the only one who just logs into this forum (quite a few times a day) just to read threads about other peoples cerbera's ?

I WILL one day have one .. i know some owners are pissed of with theres breaking ..but i just cant wait to be one of those owners smile i wont moan when it breaks .. its just part of the TVR thing.

Just had an email from a friend with a Pug 307 (I'm not knocking them) and he has had more problems with it than I've had with all of mine combined (if we forget the one that caught fire a bit). I'd still want one even if I had been unlucky smile

Most people only post when they have problems. So it's a little artificial when trying to guage reliability.

I suppose it stands to reason that EVERY time a PHer's cerb goes wrong, they post it on pistonhead (a burden shared is a burden halved), or perhaps just for advice. So dont be put off.

I hope you get your dream Cerb in 2008.

There arent many around now, so your dream of owning a cerb becomes less and less of a reality each year, and more get written off.

Good luck finding a good one, make sure that mechanically its a sound one, you can always clean the inside's, get the stone chips respay'd it you want your car to look mint for not a lot of change.

Get an engine that is fooked, kiss goodbye to £5-8k.

Happy 2008

Matt, does/did your kid/kids go to the nursery in Lower Beeding? There is/was a mum there who used to drop off wearing a Tumble Tots sweatshirt smile

I lurked for ages too before buying just over a year ago. Nowt to be shamed about. Really interesting stuff you pick up from these pages. Although It has calmed down a bit over that time, used to get a bit fruity every now and then.

I've been lurking for a year silly It's wise to stay informed, although as most people have already stated it's often from a negative perspective. The good thing is that we learn from when things go wrong and that is most certainly one of the positive aspects of the Cerb forum.

Been lurking for a while keep looking in the classifieds and dreaming, even started renting a garage for when the time comes but to be honest the huge repair bills have scared me a bit, having a £4-£5000 bill two weeks in to ownership would be hard to swallow but i still ache for a cerbera and will until i get one i suppose.

i've been lurking for ages too and i, much like some of the others here, truly love and aspire to own a Cerb myself one day and i think its wise to keep my finger on the pulse and see/read what is going on

80% of my posts are looking for help ..... but the other ones are usually me in great form after having great fun out in the Cerb.

And still more than 80% of me absolutely loves the Cerb.

I 'lurk' regularly, gets me in serious trouble with the Mrs!!! wink

Still hanker after another TVR and will own another soon enough, but for now i am just happy to watch and learn, which is a definite positive of the whole TVR section of this website.

As a committed lurker, I can safely say that if it wasn't for all the shared experiences, solutions and genuine support and respect for the marque by so many affectianado's, I would not be the proud owner as of TODAY of a fantastic 2003 4.2 Cerbera purchased from a fellow Pistonheader!
