Probably obvious to fathers more attentive than myself, but I thought I'd post a little warning - the main bolt for the front seatbelts sits at almost precisely temple height for a toddler, and has no protetion other than a hard plastic cap.
I discovered this yesterday after rolling over a pothole at sub-5mph, which resulted in lots of tears, a quite significant bruise headache, and not inconsiderable guilt on my part. I shudder to think of the injuries it could do in even the most minor impact.

Some sort of padding mod now seems in order.

Thanks for the tip, my little one goes in the back quite often and I never spotted that.

Mine's been christened "The Noisy Car", and rides are right at the top of the list of toddler bribery strategies..."If you're a good girl...etc etc". I've also heard her at night trying to immitate the exhaust note to her stuffed toys...which makes me extremely proud!

I've convinced mine that it's a racing car & that i'm a racing driver, it just seemed an easy explanation for me going off & doing trackdays biggrin

Problem is now, he's told his schoolmates, who have in turn told their dads, one of whom came up to me at the weekend & asked... " so, you're a racing driver then.....? " biglaugh

My story.....

I take my 4 year old daughter to pre school sometimes and she's always saying... "faster daddy" (no sick jokes please, this is my daughter!). So I obligue with quick blasts of the throttle. Anyway, I met one of her teachers the other day when dropping her off who said... "Oh, you're the daddy that drives too fast". Basically my 4 year old told her teacher that I drive too fast! Bloody cheek. I only do it cause she asks me to!
