The Differences?
Discussion
Hi all, im a noobie so ill say hello first, been lurking for ages and waiting until nearer the time to say anything....im hopefully getting a cerbera in the next few weeks...! A quick question after getting frustrated searching, whats the differences aside from the obvious weight reduction in the cerb lightweight if there are any as ive got my eye on one but have noticed that they hold their price a little better.
Im going to the show at the weekend so hopefully there will be somebody there to talk to and a couple of cerbs maybe to drool over?

Cheers for that.....now im confused lol, doesnt really seem to matter then eh? Oh well ill just get what seems right at the time within budget and hopefully by recommendation from some of you knowledgable lot?! definately want a 4.5 tho as late as poss looking around or under 17k maybe more for the right one.
This might help, I believe it's the original review, I think it mentions being 40kg lighter

My "lightweight" is 100kg heavier than my non lightweight.
Has anyone got an LW owners manual that shows their car as lighter ? Mine has the spec for the 2001 4.0,4.2 & 4.5 and they all say 1140KG.
Where as my old 4.2 manual says 1100KG.
My LW will be getting advertised in a month or so around your budget, I'm just waiting to for the engine to be rebuilt on my old car first. I don't want to be completely Cerbless just yet
As the 4.0's & 4.2's came in the same body, surely all of them with Tuscan seats & pods are classed as LW as well, but nobody ever advertises them as so.

A bit of good advice would be to do another search on what to look for in a good Cerb.....You could find the latest model for your money with low miles and it could prove to be an absolute money pit. I can't stress this enough but you buy a Cerb on 1) It's condition and 2) Its history (including the owners), operate outside of these parameters and you need to have your eyes wide open and be prepared to spend additional cash over and above the purchase price.
The best examples I can see for your price are these...although I am sure Russell's is a nice example.
