Al Melling gets contract from one of the big jap car cos (nissan or honda or someone) to develop a modula engine for F1 which can be used in v6, v8, v10, v12 configurations.

Does some design work, contract gets binned.

Gets together with Peter Wheeler and John Ravenscroft form TVR and develop it into a road going V8.

They shove them in Tuscans and race them.

They shove them in Cerbies and we grin a lot.
