Hi,

As an incentive for me to find the time to get on with fixing my car, as well as juggling family life and a job, I thought you might like to see the pics of my car as things progress.

Skiboot Cerbera winter project

Now, I must finish it. biggrin

Great pics. Much better than mine.

I like the mechanics for getting the bolts out of the hub.

Have you managed to find out what the track rod ends are off?
I've had no luck tracing them so far.

Yes, it was me. I was trying to work out the best way of carrying out this work. My plan, at one stage, was to build up some 'spare' wishbones etc' and then swap them over.

Did you sell yours? I thought you decided that it was best to keep the chassis and wishbones together as a 'unit'

Hi Tim,

Could'nt help but notice that you are shot blassting your wishbones, I am just coming to the end of a 3 year nut and bolt rebilud on my cerb and found having the chassis and suspension parts acid dipped a lot quicker, the company then puts a special coating on them to protect them from rust, down side is that it can be quite expensive, can pass on detail if required I did'nt have much joy shot blasting mine. good luck with the rebiuld.

Thanks very much, but I'm comitted to the sand blasting route. Have also bought the epoxy coating to treat them with, but thanks all the same. biggrin

Would love to see some pics of the rebuild Darren, there are very few people who've gone the route you have. The more info we can all get the better.
