What oil is best to use in the box? Also does anyone know the oil capacity of it.

Cheers

1.4 litres of ATF is used in the Gearbox - best to take it somewhere and let them do it as it is difficult to fill up because of limited access. However if you do want to do it yourself I have 2 litres of Miller fully synthetic ATF you can have (Because I ended up taking mine to a garage smile )

Yes will be doing it myself! Not to hard to do with a good oil syringe! Thanks for the info. Also thanks for the offer, but have loads of ATF kicking around. just need to try and find the good stuff!

I've swapped to Redline MT90 recently and the shifting is just as good as with ATF. Should give much better protection too as its a more viscous oil. I know ATF is recommended but as an engineer I just can't help feeling its a bit thin for a highly loaded transmission like the T5 in a TVR.

Any chance I could be cheeky and nab that? I need to put some fresh stuff in my new second hand box before hitting Spa and the Ring in May this year. wink

I've also been using Redline oils in my T5 box and diff for a few years now without problem.I use the MTL in the gearbox and the Heavy Shockproof in the diff.I just gives me peace of mind, and the gearbox is nice and smooth toosmile

Ahhh a little far. I'll give you a shout if I'm up that way sometime and it hasn't found a deserving home. hehe
