Anyone enlighten me on the placing of the gearlever on the T5 for the Cerb. It seems there might be two different types, one with the gearchange forward and the next with it back along the tail of the casting with an extension rod. Anyone know more detail on where the gearchange should be for the Cerb.

This gearbox is not like mine. On mine the gearchange level is further back. Not lifted my current Cerb to see if its the same or not.

That is a Saggy box I think.
Cerbs gear lever is rgith at the back
Rover V8 ones are between the 2.
This is a RV8 one I think.

This'll give you an idea of Cerb positioning.

Great photo thanks. The gear level gaitor on mine was burnt in the fire. This then melted and fell down the lever to settle in the detent plate below. This effectively froze the gear level in place, and the water that sat in the exposed trough when the thing was left in the insurance yard for a month did the rest. Inside the gearbox was protected by the gearbox oil. Thank god no-one drained it.
