Anyone know of a custom body shop who's converted a Cerb to a targa top (like a Tuscan) or who might consider doing it?

No reason why you couldn't do it however it would leak (like most of the Targa cars that left the factory and were fixed at dealers before meeting owners) it would look rubbish and imho devalue the car and make it hard to sell after. wink

I own a chim, but in the future would like to look into a Cerb. This did cross my mind. Would it not be possible to design the targas 'cork shaped' so that they plugged into the roof with snap brackets beneath. This would keep the lines and also should keep some torsional stiffness?

Wondered if the VW polo open air webasto type roof could be made to fit a Cerb, there must be few in the scrappies to try if anyone's feeling brave. It is effectively a powered multi layered material sunroof that opens up both front and back seats to the elements, perfect to fit between the roll bars. Being VW its actually good at what it was designed to do too.

Then again I think to myself why would you want to do it to cerb hehe

I appreciate your sentiments, but(1)if it was done properly (ie not by TVR)of course it wouldn't leak, (2)if all that was evident was a hairline gap then IMHO it would look far from rubbish (subject to beauty being in the eye of the beholder) and (3) for some prospective buyers it might actually be a sale clincher.
Loosing the open top was the only regret I ever had in changing from a Chimaera.

Dempsey - DO IT... I doubt you'd be the last to... thumbup I reckon a nice lift out panel inbetween the cage sections above your head would be absolutely brilliant - especially in tunnels!! bounce
