After 10 years of Griff's and Chim's have finally taken the plunge and got a sensible family car (needs must with kids):

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0...

Just a quick hello and I'm sure I'll be asking plenty of dumb questions very soon.

A big thank-you to PH as within one week of advertising my Griff I had sold it and bought the Cerb (both cars only advertised on here!).

Hope to see some of you guys around - especially if anyone wants to join our regular hoons:

Looks like you've the perfect Mondeo beater there, and the best family car ever built.

Thanks Peter - having had several Mondeo's I agree!

Lovely looking car you have BTW!

Welcome.

Makes a change from the usual 'I have been driving fast cars for years, and currently own an XR3i and a Saxo with big bores'.

Anyone prepared to look after this breed will be warmly greeted.

Welcome aboard to the land of HUGE highs and smiles (and just the occasional low) smile

BTW was it as good as the foto's - or as bad as the wording?

Thanks for all the welcomes.

On balance it was better than the photos - chassis in great condition, FTVRSH/all MOT's, LOUD sports exhaust, AP racing brakes, full leather with WORKING Aircon, all electrics work as they should (great guy who sold it even set up my bluetooth with the hands free 'phone kit installed).

Bad bits - a few stonechips/paintwork blemishes (hoping the latter will 'detail' out), drivers carpet manky, engine cover thingy needs rubbers/bolts to fully secure, oh and I didn't get to drive her the 105 miles home (although it was nice following you Grant - the only time I will ever say you had a nice arse!).

Am i a happy bunny - judge for yourselves biggrinspinbouncerotatewoohoo

Hope to see you around driving

When your batteries sorted - or did you mean a jog? laugh

BTW - I don't do jogging...

Welcome to the Cerbera division of TVR Ownership.
You obviously know your TVR's, so all I can say is well done, looks like you found a fantastic car at a fantastic price, I'm pleased for you.

Have fun, looking forward to hearing how the driving experience is, in it.

Thanks again for the welcome - still can't wipe the silly grin off my face - just popped out for a 2 hour run with a mixture of motorway, A and B roads, town traffic and car parks. Can't beleive how well the car behaves and is 'easy' (at normal speeds) to drive. Lovin' the pops and bangs within the magic 2-3k rev zone...... hope this 'honeymoon' phase continues...
